Leeds hosted the Grand Depart, the kick-off of the Tour de France on July 5th--there was loads of 'Tour de Yorkshire' related stuff around the area. This mechanical theatre was in Trinity shopping centre.
Our 4th of July indoor BBQ (it was pouring down rain!). We had burgers, pork & apple sausages, corn on the cob, coleslaw (I used a KFC-copying recipe and it turned out 80% as good as the real thing), and cherry pie for dessert.
On the day of the Grand Depart, we went to Otley to volunteer at our church's coffee morning. The crowds were crazy!
I had no idea anybody cared this much about cycling...
